After an introductory video featuring some of your favorite characters, you'll be welcomed into the Great Hall, where you'll see
real costumes and wigs worn by key cast members.
The sets
From the Great Hall, the Forbidden Forest is accessed through a gate flanked by masked Death Eaters, right
in Aragog's lair. Other iconic sets include Platform 9¾, with the Hogwarts Express forming the backdrop to the first shot
of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and then, 10 years later, to the final shot of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
Probably the most exciting part of the tour is Diagon Alley, home to the dusty Ollivanders Wand Shop, where there are more
of 17,000 individually labeled boxes of chopsticks.
Professor Sprout’s Greenhouse opened its doors permanently on the Studio Tour last summer.
Enter the greenhouse to see where the students have been receiving Herbology lessons - watch out for the hanging Venomous Tentacula
to the ceiling! See many exotic and magical plants and take the chance to extract a potted Mandrake as part of the interactive exhibit.
The Animatronics

Buckbeak had three incarnations: one standing, another rearing, and a third lying down, and each of his feathers was individually glued on!
The art department
During the tour, you will come across the incredible model of Hogwarts Castle. A team of 86 artists and crew members have
built the first version of the castle, which was enhanced with digital effects to create the hauntingly realistic views
of the school. With 2,500 fiber optic lights, which flicker to give the illusion of students walking through the hallways, real gravel and
plants, if you take into account all the hours of work spent on making the model, we are talking about 74 years!
The potions manuals, acceptance letters, sweets boxes and the Daily Prophet were all designed and
handcrafted! All the potion bottles were also hand illustrated.
The props
The sheer amount of original props in the Studios is impressive and incredibly rewarding when you spot them.
your favorite, whether it's the Elder Wand or the Golden Snitch. See over 950 potion jars featuring items from
unique scenes inside them in the Potions classroom and 900 memory vials and labels in Professor Dumbledore's office. Did you know they were

The special effects
It may surprise many fans to learn that their favorite special effects were actually real! The Chamber of Secrets' crawling door
It is often mistaken for a visual effect, but it is a fully operational door, as is the incredibly intricate door to Gringotts Bank.
As you might imagine, green screen played a huge role in creating the wizarding world of Harry Potter.
Quidditch, for example, would have been difficult to film without a green screen! Why not get on a broomstick and try
